Units of Measurement for Outrigger Canoe
After spending the first half of my life drawing boats in feet and inches, I was forced by circumstances to use metric units. I’m glad I did because everything got simpler. All of my designs are shown in two versions with dimensions in either millimeters or inches. If you are lofting molds from a table of offsets, I recommend that you try doing it in millimeters. A single number of millimeters is less prone to error than using fractions of an inch.
